International Division
El Paso's economic strength relies on its small businesses, contributing to community connection, cultural diversity, and local reinvestment. Our Small Business Assistance Division leads initiatives like the Business One Stop Shop (B.O.S.S.), offering resources and guidance for business growth. The division also manages the Buy El Paso Rewards Program, launched in October 2023, which engages 136 local businesses with discounts and incentives to boost customer loyalty and improve business-customer relationships through data-driven insights, enhancing the local business ecosystem.
The City of El Paso's Redevelopment Division promotes urban revitalization through infill development, redevelopment, rehabilitation, and historic preservation. These efforts aim to create jobs, increase the tax base, and improve quality of life. Incentives are available for businesses and property owners redeveloping vacant land or existing buildings for mixed-use, housing, and commercial/industrial purposes.
Our Compliance team ensures that incentive programs and projects meet all agreement requirements, safeguarding community interests while promoting economic growth. Their services include reviewing grant submissions, conducting site inspections, providing technical assistance, and enhancing compliance processes. They work closely with businesses, non-profits, and government agencies to support responsible economic development that benefits the community. You may find a list of executed agreements by visiting the publicly accessible Texas Comptroller's Chapter 380 Agreement Database.
The City of El Paso's Industry Development Division’s focus is to promote the city as THE place for companies to relocate to or expand in. The division’s goals are to create new jobs, grow wages, add to the tax base, and improve quality of life. The city offers a wide array of incentives designed to assist companies with establishing themselves while providing an excellent community for their workers to call home.
Our International team collaborates closely with the City’s regional and international business platform to foster and enhance both domestic and foreign trade in the region. By leveraging strategic partnerships and resources, we aim to create a thriving environment for global commerce. The El Paso Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) plays a crucial role in this effort, offering a strategically located hub for international trade that is ideally positioned for worldwide distribution. This FTZ is not only accessible for Fortune 500 companies but also provides opportunities for businesses of all sizes to benefit from streamlined trade processes, duty savings, and improved supply chain efficiency.
