Sunset Amphitheater Project Update

The City of El Paso continues working with VENU and El Paso Community College (EPCC) as planning advances for the Sunset Amphitheater project. Final site design coordination is underway to align the amphitheater with EPCC’s campus plans. Once complete, the team will finalize construction plans, secure permits, and begin construction. The $100+ million private investment will anchor the future Cohen Entertainment District.

AMD Applications Open

The Advanced Manufacturing District (AMD) has officially opened applications for manufacturers seeking to locate, expand, or compete in the aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing industries. Businesses that apply may be eligible for leasing and performance-based incentives, as well as the opportunity to locate in a development-ready industrial area in the El Paso Airport.

The City of El Paso’s Defense Industrial Based Business Incentive (DIBBs) Incentive supports local manufacturers to strengthen the defense industrial base. The program offers financial incentives to help businesses achieve Defense Readiness Level 6, enhancing their ability to compete for U.S. Department of Defense contracts.
